By Aleese Kopf – Daily News Staff Writer
Updated: Five:22 p.m. Wednesday, August 02, two thousand seventeen | Posted: Four:57 p.m. Wednesday, August 02, 2017
Update, Five:45 p.m.: South County Road has re-opened in both directions. Emergency crews have cleared a multi-vehicle car crash.
South Ocean Boulevard remains closed to traffic because of ongoing ocean outfall abandonment work in the area.
Update, Five:30 p.m.: Drivers are incapable to go north on Palm Beach past South County Road.
South Ocean Boulevard and South County Road are both closed to northbound traffic, according to a town traffic alert. All traffic is being directed south, it says.
South Ocean Boulevard has been closed all day because of construction in the area. South County is closed because of the car crash.
Fire-Rescue Spokesman Sean Baker said he expects South County will re-open shortly.
Original story: South County Road at Via del Mar is closed in Palm Beach as emergency crews react to a multi-vehicle accident.
Three cars and five patients are involved, according to Fire-Rescue Spokesman Sean Baker.
One man is being taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center with an arm injury, Baker said. The others had minor injuries and were treated at the scene but refused transport, he said.
