A Lancaster man with three prior convictions for driving with a suspended license now faces a fourth such charge, along with several drug-related offenses, city police report.

Officers arrested Jermaine Tywon Sabb, 26, of three hundred twenty one N. Duke St., Apt. Four, Tuesday evening following a brief vehicle pursuit that ended in the three hundred block of South Shippen Street

Officers Andrew Nauman and Jason Drouillard spotted Sabb driving a one thousand nine hundred ninety five green Chevrolet Tahoe in the one hundred block of South Queen Street at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. The officers began pursuing the vehicle, as they knew Sabb had no driver’s license, Nauman said.

Sabb enhanced his speed and drove fifty five to sixty mph through crimson lights at East Vine and South Duke streets and at East Vine and Church streets, Nauman said.

When Sabb turned onto South Shippen Street, the Tahoe struck a parked one thousand nine hundred eighty five Oldsmobile in front of three hundred S. Shippen St., Nauman said.

Sabb leaped out of the Tahoe and embarked running. He dropped a clear bag containing a white chunky substance before Officer Robert Whiteford caught up with him, Nauman said.

When officers checked the Tahoe, they found more of the chunky substance along with a scale and sandwich bag containing suspected marijuana, Nauman said.

The chunky substance tested positively for cocaine, police said. Sabb was to be arraigned this morning on charges of possession with intent to produce cocaine, fleeing-attempting to elude police, possession of a puny amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while under suspension, two red-light violations, and a hit-and-run offense.

An earlier investigation by the Lancaster County Drug Task Force resulted in two arrests and the seizure of more than $50,000 worth of heroin and marijuana .

David Rodriguez Lausell, 35, of five hundred eighty seven E. Main St., Fresh Holland, and Manuel Antonio Gonzalez, Legal,of seven hundred fifty two Juniata St., are being held in Lancaster County Prison under powerful bails – $Two million for Lausell and $500,000 for Gonzalez.

Lausell and Gonzalez were in a vehicle that Task Force detectives, municipal police and state troopers stopped early Friday morning near Blue Ball in East Earl Township.

Lausell is considered to be an "upper-level drug dealer," and the vehicle stop resulted from a "very lengthy investigation," a Task Force spokesman said.

Police found more than four ounces of bulk heroin and five pounds of marijuana when they served a search warrant on the vehicle, the spokesman said.

After the vehicle search, Task Force detectives served search warrants at three residences where Lausell allegedly has ties, the spokesman said. They were his home at five hundred eighty seven E. Main St., Fresh Holland; an apartment at eight hundred thirty three Pleasure Road in Manheim Township; and seven hundred fifty Almanac Ave., in Lancaster.

Police seized quantities of marijuana, a digital scale and packaging material from the Fresh Holland home and Manheim Township apartment. They were looking for assets and records of Lausell’s drug dealing at the Almanac Avenue address, the spokesman said.

Police also seized a Yamaha motorcycle, a two thousand four GMC Yukon and $Two,800 cash from the searches.

Lausell and Gonzales were each charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and marijuana, two counts of criminal conspiracy, and Drug Free School Zone violations, the spokesman said.
