Jaguar Land Rover has been busy and exposed three brand fresh cars at the Geneva Motor Demonstrate 2017.
Range Rover Velar
Land Rover unveiled the fourth member of the Range Rover family called the Velar – a mid-sized SUV.
After weeks of taunting, including a leak of official photos, the fresh car was ultimately unveiled at an event in London on March 1.

The launch coincided with the release of a documentary which examined the car’s inception and production.
Velar will sit inbetween the compact Evoque and luxury Sport models in the current product range.
Its form is a more compact version of the Range Rover Sport but has some of the more sporty styling ideas found on the Evoque, including the full-LED headlights.

Underpinning the differences inbetween the other cars are the claw-like side air vents, pronounced black grille and contrasting upper and lower bod colour scheme.
The metal window poles blend seamlessly into the panoramic glass roof which emphasises the contrast.
A bold black line also spreads around the car, a very first for Range Rover, and the motorised door treats are now flush and set into the assets.
Land Rover said the Velar was created using a ‘visually reductive’ brief, with meticulous attention to detail.

Velar also has the off-road characteristics, Range Rover are known for, including a class-leading ground clearance and wading depth. Additionally Land Rover’s Terrain Response system features on the fresh car suggesting seven different drive modes based on the terrain.
Much like the exterior, the car’s interior is minimal and arguably one of the best in the market segment.
When the screens are off they blend seamlessly into the cars panels and there are only four visible dials and buttons on the dashboard (excluding driver controls.)
The central console houses two screens, the upper being a 10-inch touchscreen Touch Pro Duo infotainment system.

The interior is minimalistic, stylish and modern
This is paired with a premium audio system, Wi-Fi hotspot, SOS emergency call and Secure tracker technology. The upper screen also controls the navigation and ambient lighting in the car.
The lower screen will deal with climate, seats, setting and off-road controls.
Inwards is also spacious as well as luxury, with a 632-litre boot with the 40:20:40 split seats up.
Powering the fresh luxury SUV are a range of six petrol and diesel powertrains which are all matched to a smooth-shifting ZF eight-speed automatic transmissions and all-wheel drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics.
