Davis Continuing to Progress
The Associated Press provided an update on Davis’ recovery:
Hoosiers coach Tom Crean says Devin Davis is continuing to progress from a traumatic brain injury.
Crean says Davis, a sophomore, is undergoing physical and speech recovery. Crean also says Wednesday was a big day for Davis because he was able to take two walks in a Bloomington hospital.
Crean said he and his players were planning to visit Davis after the game.

Crean Speaks on Davis’ Condition, Holt Suspended
Coach Tom Crean provided an update on Devin Davis as he resumes to recover from the car accident over the weekend via Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Starlet and Jeff Rabjohns of Rivals.com:

Davis In Serious Condition After Car Accident
Indiana University basketball forward Devin Davis is in serious condition after being struck by a car driven by teammate Emmitt Holt.
According to Sabrina Adams of Fox 59, the incident occurred early Saturday morning. Davis was struck shortly after getting out of the vehicle and was taken to the IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Per The Indianapolis Starlet, Hoosiers head coach Tom Crean released a statement in support of Davis, his family and Holt.
Very first and foremost, our thoughts are with Devin and his family and we plead that his condition improves in the coming days. An injury to one of us is an injury to all of us and we are devastated by the news. We will proceed to support Devin and Emmitt in every possible way and I know the Hoosier family will come together to rally for these youthful fellows. We are working to gather extra information on the accident.
According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com, Holt was cited for operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over 0.02, the legal limit for a driver under 21. Holt registered a 0.025.
Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Starlet reported the details surrounding the accident:
The official crash report filed after Saturday’s car accident involving two Indiana studs’s basketball players suggests the primary cause of the crash was ‘pedestrian act.’
As Holt, driving a two thousand twelve Jeep Liberty, turned back onto 17th Street, Davis entered the roadway unexpectedly, and was struck by the car. A map of the incident provided with the report indicates Davis was discovered by police responding to the incident on the north side of 17th Street, just northeast of its intersection with Indiana Avenue.
Davis is a sophomore from Indianapolis who averaged Two.Four points and Two.6 rebounds per game for the Hoosiers last season. Holt, meantime, is a freshman who was set to make his debut at Indiana during the 2014-15 campaign.
