DWI Report: Woman charged with two DWIs after two wrecks

A 30-year-old woman was charged twice with driving while impaired and hit and run after she was in two wrecks on Aug. 23, according to a weekly review of Pitt County court records.

Margaret Ann Warren, whose address was listed as three thousand thirty three Adams Blvd., Greenville, and as four hundred one Stuart Ave., Southport, was charged with driving while impaired twice at 7:29 p.m. on Aug. Twenty three after she was stopped on Thomas Langston Road near Davenport Farm Road by State Highway Patrol troopers.

Earlier, Warren was in a two-vehicle collision on N.C. Eleven near inbetween U.S. 264-Alternate and Mall Drive when she collided with the car in front of her, according to a crash report.

Warren left the scene and kept driving, the report indicates. No one was injured in that wreck, but harm to the two thousand sixteen Toyota she hit was estimated at $500.

A brief time later, about Trio.Five miles away, she turned right off Thomas Langston Road onto Davenport Farm Road, made a broad turn and crashed head-on into another car that was traveling east on Davenport Farm Road, a crash report shows.

In that wreck, the driver of the other vehicle had minor injuries and went to Vidant Medical Center for treatment. Warren left the scene of that wreck, too, but was located a brief time later, the report indicates.

Harm to the two thousand nine GMC truck she hit in the 2nd wreck was estimated at $20,000. Harm to the two hundred Jeep she was driving was estimated at $Five,000.

Warren was charged in the very first wreck with misdemeanor hit and run. In the 2nd wreck, she faces charges of felony hit and run and DWI.

The crash report indicates Warren’s blood alcohol level was 0.24, three times the legal limit.

Warren also was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, careless and reckless driving, having an open container of alcohol, driving left of center, improper turn and misdemeanor abandonment of an animal. Warren still was in custody at the Pitt County Detention Center on Friday under a $35,000 bond.

Seven others also were charged with driving while impaired according to court records and law enforcement reports available inbetween Aug. Twenty two and Aug. 28, 2017. In those cases, court documents indicate:

William George Cotes, 45, of four thousand eight hundred fifty two Old N.C. 11, Ayden, was stopped at 8:06 a.m. on Aug. Twenty eight on Lee Street near Fifth Street in Ayden by the Ayden Police Department. He was railing a moped that did not have a rear tail light, and when he stopped and got off his moped, he fell down and the moped fell on top of him. He had a strong odor of alcohol, crimson and blood-shot eyes, and his blood alcohol level was 0.15.

Ishamel aka Ismel Alterick Daniels, 41, of three thousand three hundred twelve Parkway Court, Apt. B., was stopped at Trio:47 a.m. on Aug. 22, on Teakwood Drive near Allen Road by the Greenville Police Department. He had crimson glassy eyes, an odor of alcohol, and his blood alcohol level was 0.15. He also was charged with driving with a revoked license and speeding for driving fifty five in a 30-mph zone.

Robert Earl Cogdell, 30, of seven thousand one hundred fifty nine N.C. Eleven South, Ayden, was stopped at 11:44 p.m. on Aug. Twenty four on Old N.C. Eleven near Reedy Branch Road by the Winterville Police Department. He had crimson glassy eyes, an odor of alcohol and refused to take a breath test. A search warrant was issued to take a blood sample to determine impairment.

Rashad Amir Gardner, 25, of 301-A Paige Drive, was stopped at Trio:07 a.m. on Aug. Twenty six on Fire Tower Road at Evans Street by Greenville police. He had slurred speech, crimson eyes and refused to take a breath test. A search warrant was issued to take a blood sample to determine impairment.

He also was charged with driving with a revoked license for a previous DWI, having an open container of alcohol and reckless driving. The two thousand seventeen Ford Escape he was driving was seized because he was driving with the revoked license. The possessor of the car, a woman, finished paperwork that indicated she did not know his license was revoked when she permitted him to drive her car in order to get the car back.

Dyshawn James Kollore, 25, of one hundred eleven Fairmont Circle, Kannapolis, was stopped at 12:40 a.m. on Aug. Twenty seven at Very first Street near Meade Street by East Carolina University police. He was unsteady on his feet, had crimson glassy eyes, a strong odor of alcohol, and his blood alcohol level was 0.22.

April Marie Haddock, 40, of six thousand one hundred twelve Harbourside Drive, Fresh Bern, was stopped at 1:40 a.m. on Aug. Twenty seven on U.S. 264-Alternate near Old Pactolus Road by the highway patrol. She had crimson glassy eyes, an odor of alcohol, slurred speech, and her blood alcohol level was 0.08. She also was charged with speeding for driving sixty eight mph in a 55-mph zone.

Patrick Westbrook Noss, 29, of three hundred two Horseshoe Drive. Apt. H, was stopped at 9:15 a.m. on Aug. 28, on Third Street near Evans Street by the highway patrol after he ran a stop sign. He had crimson glassy eyes, a strong odor of alcohol, and his blood alcohol level was 0.Ten. He also was charged with careless and reckless driving and having an expired tag.
