Thieves make off with $30,000 irrigation pump
MOULTRIE, Ga. — A car and an irrigation pump were big-ticket items stolen in latest days, with the owners reporting the value of the stolen property at $40,000.
On Tuesday, John Stallings, of the two hundred block of Riggins Road, reported the theft of a John Deere irrigation pump.
The pump, valued at $30,000, was stolen from a field in the one hundred block of Funston-Sale City Road.
Stallings told police that on the previous day he witnessed a boat trailer tied where the pump was located. A man was fishing in the pond, but there was no vehicle there.
Also on Tuesday, Laqita Roberts, six hundred block 12th Avenue Southeast, reported Tuesday the theft of a two thousand seven Saturn Outlook valued at $8,000 that was stolen during the night from underneath her carport.
At about Two:30 a.m., about an hour and a half after Roberts reported the car stolen, police were dispatched to the intersection of Woodman Road and Davis Street to investigate a wrecked car.
The silver Saturn was the one Roberts’ had reported stolen, police said.
• Hattie Jordan, six hundred Very first Street Northwest, reported Monday that a man to whom she paid $186 to do some repair work never ended the project and also spent a balance of some $383 on a Home Depot card she had permitted him to use in the event he needed more material for the work.
• Yanet Nunez, one hundred block Tucker Lane, reported Monday the theft of a Huffy bicycle valued at $100 and a BB gun of unknown value.
• Jeremiah Hilton, three hundred block Allegood Road, reported Tuesday the theft of three Japanese dolls, a ring and other items, all of unknown value.
• Maule Aircraft, two thousand ninety nine Hwy. One hundred thirty three S., reported Tuesday the theft of property valued at $500.
• Tamisha Bailey, one thousand seven hundred block Dean Lane, reported a burglary in progress Tuesday.
• Doug Bridges reported Tuesday the theft of property of unknown value including a Winnie The Pooh switch jar, Exxon Tiger switch jar and Raggedy Ann switch jar, from a residence in the six hundred block of Woodmen Road.
• Leticia Garcia, thirty block Carolyn Street, reported Tuesday that a masculine relative grabbed her by the hair and shoved her in the face.
The man told police that they had argued but that there was no physical contact.
Garcia had no visible injuries, police said, and no arrest was made.
• Benjamin Allen, two thousand eight hundred block Fifth Street Southeast, reported Tuesday the theft of a firearm valued at $200.
• Cassandra Ylonda McCloud, 34, eight hundred thirty five Timid Manor Drive Apt. Two, was charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and duty to obey police officer.
• Lewis Green, 46, one thousand two Sixth Ave. S.E., was charged Monday with battery.
• Shaurell Marie Dorsett, 29, nine hundred Bonny Circle, was charged Saturday with cruelty to children and plain attack.
• India Laqvesha Thomas, 21, five thousand twenty five Sequani Drive, Lake Park, was charged Tuesday with following too closely, driving while license suspended and seat belt disturbance.
• Thomas Hill Jr., 48, three hundred eighty five S. Gregory St., Sale City, was charged Tuesday with failure to show up.
• Pamela Ann Tucker, 48, one thousand two hundred seventy one Bob Taylor Road, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.
• George Willis Price Jr., 47, one hundred fifty three Newsome Road Lot Five, was charged Saturday with theft by taking.
• Marlyn Jermaine Spradley, 36, eight hundred fifty seven Sardis Church Road, was charged Tuesday with driving while license suspended and probation disturbance.
• Robert Garrison Weldon, 52, one hundred sixty six Willow Drive, was charged Tuesday with driving while announced as a habitual violator.
• Standly Mazile, 22, two thousand six hundred seventy seven Old Bainbridge Road, Tallahassee, was charged Saturday with possession of marijuana.
• James Lee Fielder, 33, two hundred twenty five Indian Lake Drive Lot 48.
• Lillie Williams, 63, Moultrie, reported Monday an incident of financial transaction card fraud totaling $224.
• Tammy Tyler, eight hundred block Fourth Avenue Southwest, reported Monday that someone scraped the driver’s door of her one thousand nine hundred ninety eight Lincoln Navigator.
Harm to the car was less than $500, police said.
