Open Class: PSR Tuning Evo 7

Another familiar car at World Time Attack is the PSR tuning backed Evo seven of Duncan Shiu. This car finished just off the podium in Open Class in two thousand eleven in the palms of George Whenn with Duncan driving the ex- Autoselect GTR.

With the competition stiffer than ever Duncan has spent the past year refining what was already a potent package with broader Fenders, broader tyres and a more refined engine combination.

The engine is a accomplish Tomei Two.Two deal with oversize valves and solid lifters. The turbo is a custom-built made Garrett GTX3582 with a HKS 60mmm GT2 wastegate and a 100mm titanium TITAN harass. The ECU is a top line MoTeC M800 with a Racepack dash. This setup has proven more than reliable and is continually being refined for “usable” power which equates to swifter laps times. An Evo RS five speed box fitted with OS close ratio gear set and a ORC twin plate clutch. The diffs are by Ralliart and Kaaz and both the front and rear sub frames are lightweight versions.

Underneath are a set of TEIN Super racing Coil overs that drape off a utter set of Nagisa arms front and rear and much time has been spent perfecting the suspension geometry on this car. The sway bars are by Whiteline.

The theme proceeds with the brakes with a set of topline Brembo monoblock calipers and Spectacle Friction discs and a utter custom-built made pedal box. The tyres are now the fattest Hankook Ventus Z221 available in 295/30/Legitimate size.

The bodykit is now a total Cyber Evo Voltex deal and Duncan will be out to put it to the test in August, with the swift sweeping Eastern Creek circuit favoring the aero cars without question. Nik Kalis certainly set the benchmark time in two thousand eleven but there is no question that many will be knocking on his door this year and Duncan would like to be one of them.
