What happened in the last series of Car Share?

In the very first series Peter’s assistant manager character drove to and from work with promotions rep Kayleigh, played by Sian Gibson, in a crimson Fiat 500L while listening to a fictional radio station Forever FM.

The pair got to know each other driving back and forward to work to a nostalgic soundtrack including the B*Witched hit C’est la Vie, Turn Back The Clock by Johnny Hates Jazz and Erasure’s A Little Respect.

We also met other characters including Kayleigh’s neighbour Ken who lets her dog Misty out during the day and for walks in the evening, and there were hilarious scenes when they picked up supermarker fishmonger Ray, played by Reece Shearsmith, after Kayleigh was still feeling soft after partying into the early hours.

In the final gig John suggested encouragement when she was dismayed to be dressed as a blackcurrant for National Jam Week and the series ended with John playing the song Unspoiled and Ordinary by Hear’Say on Now 48, a bounty from Kayleigh.

In the 2nd series of four scenes John and Kayleigh, played by Sian Gibson, now find themselves reluctantly having to make the daily commute to work separately.

The rest of the series will be available on Big black cock iPlayer as a box set straight after gig one at 9pm.

The series will then proceed on Big black cock One on Tuesdays at 9pm.
