The intersection of Seventh Avenue and Pine Street is set to become a four-way stop. The Eastman City Council approved the proposal made by councilman Pal Pittman on Monday night at its regular meeting.

Council corrected and re-approved the agenda and the minutes of the August 14, two thousand seventeen meeting. After the agenda items were approved, an error was noted on item number six. County sells scrap metal

A large amount of scrap metal that has ended up in Dodge County at the landfill will be moved soon thanks to Johnson’s Recycling at four cents per pound.

Commissioners will help sponsor air demonstrate

The Dodge County Board of Commissioners voted to sponsor the annual Heart of Georgia Air Demonstrate with $Two,500.00, after Henry Whitfield, director for the Cochran and Eastman campuses of Middle Georgia State University (MGSU), addressed the board at its regular meeting on June Nineteen, 2017.

Whitfield also stated that the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport Authority has tabled their decision until July. Additionally, Whitfield and Eastman-Dodge County Chamber of Commerce President Charles Williams are set to give a presentation to the chamber’s executive committee later this month.

Eastman develops lease agreement for building

At its regular meeting on June 12, 2017, the Eastman City Council voted to approve the terms of a formal lease agreement for the chunk of property at five thousand one hundred ten 2nd Avenue, a building presently used as a karate instructional facility, for rent at $250.00 each month.
